HomeMy WebLinkAbout1832 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1832 AN ORDIdA`?CE OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 1823, SECTION 1, WHICH ADOPTED THE CLASSIFICATION OF NON -CHAPTER CODE CITY. WHEREAS, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1823 contains a typographical error citing Chapter 35A.12 of the Revised Code of Washington rather than properly citing Chapter 35A.13 of the Revised Code of Washington, and . . therefore, WHEREAS, this error should be corrected, now, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Ordinance No. 1823, Section 1, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1: There is hereby adopted for the City of Pasco, Washington, the classification of Non -Charter Code City, retaining the council-manager plan of government under which the City of Pasco is presently operating, as provided in Chapter 35A.13 of the Revised Code of Washington, endowed with all of the applicable rights, powers, privileges, duties and obligations of a Non -Charter Code City as the same now exists, or may be provided hereafter, including any and all supplements, amendments or other modifications to said title here- after at any time enacted. Section 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED this 4 day of December, 1976. As you can read from the ordinance, this simply corrects a typographical error in the previous ordinance. After this has been passed it would be advisable to send a copy of it to the Secretary of State's office accompanied by the original Ordinance No. 1823 so that the Secretary of State can file it. We should also probably send a copy to the Association of Washington Cities Municipal Research and Service Center, once executed. S' cerely, atrick T.
