HomeMy WebLinkAbout1750 Ordinance - RecordedORDINANCE NO. 1750 AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE URBAN RENEWAL AREA LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco desire to vacate certain streets and alleys in the Urban Renewal Area in order to promote the development; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Pasco on December 16, 1975, and it appearing there were no objections to said vacation and said vacation being deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Pasco; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That portion of the following described alley in the Urban Renewal Area shall be and hereby is declared vacated of any future public use what- soever; provided that the City of Pasco hereby retains an easement and the right to exercise and grant easements in respect to the vacated land for construction, repair and maintenance of public utilities and services. 1. The north -south alley in Block 2, Steffin's Amended Addition as recorded in Volume B, Book of Plats, Franklin County, Washington. Section 2. The following described alley shall be and hereby is declared vacated of any future public use whatsoever: 1. That portion of Queen Avenue from the south right-of-way Zine of East "A" Street to the north right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks, lying adjacent to Block 2 and 3, Steffin's Amended Addition as recorded in Volume B, Page 47, Book of Plats, Franklin County.., Washington. 2. That portion of Melrose Avenue from the southerly right-of-way line of East "A" Street to the north right-of-way Zine of East "B" Street lying southerly of the east -west centerline of the east -west alleys -of Block 1 and 2, of said Steffin's Amended Addition together with the westerly 50' of Melrose Avenue lying northerly of the east -west centerline of the east -west alleys of Blocks 1 and 2, of.said Steffin's Amended Addition. 3. The east -west alley lying within Block 2, said Steffin's Amended Addition. 357ji_34 j ' 7134 4. The southerly 10' of the east -west alley in Block 1, of said Steffin's Amended Addition lying between the east right-fo-way line of Melrose Avenue and a point that is 30 feet easterly from the east right-of-way line of Melrose Avenue. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. 16 PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED asinprovided by law, this day of December, 1975.
