AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CITY EMPLOYEES AND
POLITICAL ACTIVITIES AND AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1731 AND PASCO.MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION
2.42.520
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
.Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1731 and Pasco
klunicipal Code Section 2.42.520 are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Political Activities: 'All employees of the City
of Pasco shall have the'right to vote and express
their opinion on all political subjects and candi-
dates and to hold any political party office or
participate in the management of a partisan political
campaign. All employees of the City of Pasco may
participate fully in campaigns relating to consti-
tutional amendments, referendums, initiatives and
issues of a similar character and for non-partisan
offices. A classified Civil Service employee of the
City of Pasco shall not hold a part-time public
office in any political subdivision of this State
when the holding of such office is incompatible with
or substantially interferes with the discharge of
official duties in City employment.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and publication as required by law.
