HomeMy WebLinkAbout1731 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1731 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ADMINISTRATION; PERSONNEL; AND POLITICAL ACTIVITIES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PASCO AND AMENDING PASCO MUNI- CIPAL CODE SECTIONS 2.42.480 AND 2..42.520 AND ORDINANCE NO. 1306. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 62 of Ordinance 1306, and Pasco Municipal Code Section 2-.42.480 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 62.. Members of Same Family. Two or more members of the same family will not be permitted to work in the same department except where employment within the department is subject to certification by the Civil Service Commission. Two or more members of the same family may be permitted to work in different departments where the normal day to day operation of the city does not require them to work together or one is in a super- visory position to another. This section does not apply to persons employed by the City on March 5 , 1968. " Section 2. Section 66 of Ordinance 1306, and Pasco Municipal Code Section 2.42.520 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 66. Political Activities: No employee in the City service shall take any part in campaigns involving the election of any City official further than to cast his vote and to express privately his opinions. No employee in the City service shall continue in such service after filing as a candidate or for nomination or election to any public elec- tive city office or other public elective office which would interfere or conflict with said persons employ in the city service." Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED this 2 day of September, 1975.
