HomeMy WebLinkAbout1678 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO., 1678' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.52 (SECTION 1.0.52.030) OF THE PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE AND SECTION 74 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1024, BEINGAN OR= DINANCE RELATING TO AND REG'U.LATING MOTOR VE- HICLES„ TRAFFIC; TRAVEL, AND TRANSPORTATION AND THEIR INCIDENTS UPON THE PUB:LIG STREETS, .BICYC:LE PATHS, AND OTHER WAYS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC'; PRE- S:CRIBING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF OFFICERS AND OTHERS IN.RELATION THERETO; DEFINING OFFENSES:; 'PROVIDING PENALTIES, AND REPEALING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO... 23;6 (PASCO- CITY CODE 9-6.02;), ORDINANCE NO'...44`2 ,, (PASCO CITY CODE CHAPTER, 8-2) ORDINANCE; NOS. 469, 837 AND 8:62 (PASCO CITY CODE CHAPTER. 8-1), OR"DINANCE NO. 558 (PASCO CITY CODE CHAPTER 8-5),, ORDINANCE NO. 784 (PASCO CITY CODE CHAPTER .8-6), AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS ,OF ORDINANCES IN CONFEICT HEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO` DO ORDAIN: AS FOLLOWS;: Section, 1. Section 74 of, Ordinance No. 1,024 and Pasco Municipal Code Chapter 10.'52.0'30 are hereby •amend'ed to read .as follows:, "Section 74, (Pasco Municipal Code 10.S'.2.03`Q) Parking for Certain Pumoses Prohibited. No person shall park a vehicle upon any roadway for the principal purpose of (1) Displaying ; &uch vehicle for sale; or for- adver,tising serviC,es' for vehicl"eS; (2) Greasing or repairing such vehicle, except repairs necessitated -by an emergency;, (3,) No person shall drop or permit to !be dropped from any vehicle or the. machinery thereof•,, any oil; grease; or ;similar substance upon the streets or alleys of the 'City; (4) No "vehicle with a `maximum gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds or'!inore shall park overnight on any s:tree:t in 'a residdential zone of `the: city. "'Maximum. 'gross weight:" means the scale weight of, any motor vehicle., truck, truck tractor, tra.ilei or 'semitrailer to which shall be added the maximum load to be carried thereon as set by the licensee in his application for a license or as marked on the vehicle, whichever is grea ter. A street is in a .residentialzone for purposdes of this cha'pter'if any property on either side of the street` is in a .residential zone; each block- of the street will be treated as a separate unit:for purposes of determining whether overnight.,parking will be permitted; Ordinance No.. Date, -- No unlicensed vehicle shall. be parked upon the streets of the City. Section 2.
