AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF OR- DINANCE NO. 1583, BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 61 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1306 AND PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE 2.42.470; AND BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CIVIL SERVICE, ESTABLISHING RULES GOVERN- ING HOURS OF WORK, PROVISIONS FOR SICK AND VACATION LEAVE, HOLIDAYS, TRAVEL EX- PENSES, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER PRAC- TICES AND PROCEDURES NECESSARY TO CITY EMPLOYMENT. THECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOW Section 1. „ Section ;1 of Ordinance No. 15;83,..and Pasco Mun c pal Code 2.42.470 are hereby amended to read as follows: "`S'ection I. Section 61 of Ordinance No. 1.306,; and Pasco City Code 2.42.4.70, "are hereby amended to read as follows: a) Whenever it becomes necessary for an 'elective= or appointive official or employee of the City to travel away from the City of Pasco on official business, and it is found to be more advantageous: and economical to the City that he travel by a privatelyowned automobile rather than a common carrier, he shall be allowed a mileage rate not to exceed fifteen cents ($ .15) a mile. As an alternative any such official or employee,, when provided in the budget, may utilize his own vehicle in the conduct of City business and be reimbursed therefor at a rate not greater than the equipment rental rate for the approximate class of equipment,. b) Actual costs incurred by an employee will be reim- bursed provided hefiles the proper "Claim for Expenses". Expenses such as hotels, auto rentals, etc,. , must be supported by receipts Receipts will not be required for such. items as meals., taxi. fares , or, for miscellaneous expenses under fi:Ye dollars, ($5.00)_"' Section '2,,, This, ordinance shall be in full; force and effect after its passage and publica tion as required by law.
