HomeMy WebLinkAbout1617 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1617 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 52 OF ORDINANCE NO. 962, PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE 13.16.020, AND BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE CITY WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM, ESTAB- LISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE AND OPERATION OF THE WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM, ESTABLISHING WATER AND SEWER RATES, ESTABLISH- ING THE PROCEDURE AND CHARGES FOR EXTENSIONS OF WATER AND SEWER MAINS, DEFINING OFFENSES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1388. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 52 of Ordinance No. 962 and Pasco Municipal Code 13 .16.020 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 52. Water Deposit. All users of water shall be required to make a deposit to the City Treasurer and such deposit shall remain on deposit without interest. Any moneys due the City for water or sewer services shall be deducted from the deposit at the termination of service to the user. However, at the end of any two years of con- tinuous service during which time the water user account has not been delinquent the City shall refund the said deposit held in behalf of the user. Further, if the required deposit has previously been refunded and the account subsequently becomes delinquent the user shall again place on deposit the required cash deposit. The required cash deposit, except as otherwise provided herein shall be as follows: 3/4" water service $15 .00 1" water service $22.50 1 1/2" water service $30.00 2" water service $40.00." Section 2, Ordinance No. 1388 is hereby repealed. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on March 1, 1974, after its passage and publication as required by law.
