ORDINANCE NO. 1580
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE 339,
PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE 8.20.040 BEING AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF
PUBLIC HEALTH.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance 339, Pasco Municipal Code 8.22.040 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. ANIMAL SHELTER DISTANCE FROM RESIDENCE.
No shed, stable or other building where a horse, cow
or other animal is kept shall be nearer than fifty
feet to any dwelling or residence or building occupied
as such. The number of animals which may he kept shall
conform to City Zoning code.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage
and publ—ication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington this
day of April 1973.

Gentlemen:
The Pasco City Planning Commission in their regular meeting of March 8, 1973,
considered your request concerning the haboring of large domestic animals.
The: Planning Commission in reviewing the situation felt that the existing
zoning regulations were adeqruate, namely those regulations in 22.24.020
(6), 22.28.020 and 22.40.010 (1) Pasco Municipal Code.
The Planning Commission also reviewed the animal section of the City Code
and recommended section 8.20.040 be brought into conformance with the zoning
code namely that dwellings be at least 50 feet from a residence and that the
zoning section be cross referenced with the animal code.
