HomeMy WebLinkAbout1514 Ordinance• ORDINANCE NO. 1514 AN ORDINANCE CONTINUING A MORATORIUM ON THE COLLECTION OF PARKING METER FEES IN PASCO FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS, ESTABLISHING TWO-HOUR PARKING ZONES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIO- LATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco regulates the movement of traffic in Pasco by the use of parking meters, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue a study of the future need for said meters by eliminating their use for a second period of six months com- mencing February 15th which is the conclusion of a first moratorium provided under Ordinance No. 1487; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A moratorium is hereby decreed on the payment and collection of parking meter fees in Pasco. Said moratorium shall commence February 15, 1972 and shall terminate August 15, 1972. Section 2. A two-hour parking zone is hereby established on the follow- ing described streets: Street: From: To: 3rd Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street 4th Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street 5th Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street Columbia Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue Lewis Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue Clark Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue Violators of the two-hour parking restriction shall be fined as follows: First offense in any one calendar month: $1.00 Second offense in same calendar month: $2.00 Third and subsequent offense in same calendar month: $3 .00 Section 3.
