AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON THE COLLECTION
OF PARKING FEES IN PASCO FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS,
ESTABLISHING TWO-HOUR PARKING ZONES, AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco regulates the movement of traffic in Pasco
by the use of parking meters, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to study the future need of said meters
by eliminating their use for a period of six months;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A moratorium is hereby decreed on the payment and collection
of parking meter fees in Pasco. Said moratorium shall commence August 15, 1971,
and shall terminate on February 15, 1972.
Section 2. A two-hour parking zone is hereby established on the following
described streets:
STREET FROM TO
3rd Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street
4th Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street
5th Avenue Columbia Street Clark Street
Columbia Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue
Lewis Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue
Clark Street 3rd Avenue 5th Avenue
Violators of the two-hour parking restriction shall be fined as follows:
First offense in any one calendar month: $1.00
Second offense in same calendar month: $2.00
Third and subsequent offense in same
calendar month: $3.00
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its
passage and publication as required by law.
