HomeMy WebLinkAbout1478 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1478 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3,750.00 IN THE HIGHLAND PARK FUND TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT THEREOF. WHEREAS, the proposed Highland Park is in need of a plan and im- plementation of improvements, and WHEREAS, this project is desirable for the further convenience and recreation of the citizens of Pasco, and WHEREAS, funds are available, but the City Council could not reasonably have foreseen this expenditure would be made at the time the 1971 Budget was adopted, and WHEREAS, the sum of $3,750.00 was paid to the City of Pasco for the express purpose of furthering the Park and Recreation facilities, and an emergency exists relating to the need for such expenditure. This is an emergency as described in R.C.W. 35.33.090, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby appropriated, the sum of $3,750.00 as the Highland Park Fund Budget for 1971 to meet the existing emergency in said fund. This sum was on hand as of January, 1971, but the expenditures thereof could not be reasonably foreseen at the time the budget was made. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its Public Hearing and passage as required by law. 1 PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED this day of June 1971. G.E.
