ORDINANCE NO. 1419
AN ORDINANCE VACATING CALIFORNIA AVENUE, BETWEEN COLUMBIA
STREET AND HAGERMAN STREET; AND THE ALLEY BETWEEN CALIFORNIA
AVENUE AND WEHE AVENUE AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED LYING WITHIN'
THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, There has been filed with the City Council of the City of Pasco, by
the Department of Urban Renewal, a valid petition requesting the vacation of a
portion of California Avenue, between Columbia Street and Hagerman Street and the
alley between California Avenue and Wehe Avenue, situated within the City of Pasco,
Franklin County, Washington.
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Pasco
on May 5, 1970„ and'it appearing there were no objections to said vacation, and said
vacation being deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Pasco; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That portion of California Avenue, between Columbia Street and Hagerman
Street and the alley between California Avenue and Wehe Avenue, hereinafter described
shall be and hereby is declared vacated of any further public use whatsoever.
That portion of California Avenue between East Columbia
Street and East Hagerman, lying between Block 151 and
Block 157 of Pasco Land Company's First Addition, according
to the plat thereof, recorded in Volume B of Plats, Page
39, in Franklin County, Washington.
That portion of alley between South California Avenue and
South Wehe Avenue, lying in Block.157, Pasco Land Company's
First Addition, according to the plat thereof, recorded in
Volume B of plats, Page 39, 'in Franklin County, Washington.
Section 2. Site improvement is to be completed within one year from date of publi-
cation, or'the above described portion of California Avenue and alley shall revert to
original use.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and
publication -aa required by law.
