Menasco, City Manager Pasco City Hall Pasco, Washington Re: Moving Buildings in Streets Ord. #303 (Title 8, Pasco City Code, Chapter 8-3) Dear Mr. Menasco: The existing ordinance does not provide a fee schedule for permits for the moving of buildings within the City of Pasco, therefore, the past procedure has been to set the lowest fee as listed by the Uniform Building Code. This charge has been $2.00 per building in the past and has now risen to $5.00 with the revised 1967 edition of the build- ing code. Since the existing ordinance was adopted in 1920, it is outdated and an updated fee schedule should be adopted to help offset the costs involved in this type activity. The following fee schedule is suggested: Relocate a building on the same lot or parcel (without use of public right-of-way) .............. $25.00 Move a building from one lot within the City to another lot within the City (use of public........ right-of-way) $100.00 Move a building into the City limits from outside the City limits ........................... $100.00 In accordance with present policy, all moved buildings, if they are to remain in the City, or be moved into the City, are required to be April 22, 1969 Mr. Horace Menasco Page - 2 thoroughly inspected to assure they meet the Minimum Housing Code and to point out any deficiencies that require correcting. The fee schedule suggested would help defray City costs occurred for this inspection, street department work, sewer and water department work, and Police escort. Sinc rely, Lyle E.
