Re: Uniform Building Code, Volume II, Uniform Mechanical Code
Dear Mr. Menasco:
This code was previously just a chapter in'the 1964 edition of the
Uniform Building Code. Much work has been done on this standard
with the result of a separate book being published which is concerned
only with heat producing appliances and air conditioning units. If
Volume I is adopted, Volume II will have to be adopted to assure
that the City has a code to regulate installation of mechanical
appliances. The permit fee has been changed to correspond with the
U.B.C. Volume I schedule, using the dollar value of installation.
Sincerely,
Lyle E. Balderson, Director
Department of Community Development
