ORDINANCE NO. 1281
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF
SOUTH EIGHTH AVENUE, LYING BETWEEN THE
SOUTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF LEWIS
STREET AND THE NORTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY
LINE OF COLUMBIA STREET ALL IN PETTIT'S
SECOND ADDITION TO PASCO, ACCORDING TO
THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME
"B" OF PLATS, PAGE 43, RECORDS OF FRANKLIN
COUNTY.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City
Council of the City of Pasco, by the abutting property owner, a valid
petition requesting the vacation of that portion of South Eighth Avenue
lying between the Southerly Right of Way Line of Lewis Street and
the Northerly Rightof Way Line of Columbia Street all in Pettit's
Second Addition to Pasco, according to the plat thereof recorded in
Volume "B" of Plats, page 43, records of Franklin County, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held in the City Council
Chambers of the City of Pasco before the City Council on the 6th day
of June, 1967, and it appearing that there were no objections to the
vacation of said street and it being deemed by the City Council to be
in the best interests of the City of Pasco to vacate said street, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO do ordain
as- follows:
Section 1. That portion of South Eighth Avenue lying
between the Southerly Right of Way Line of Lewis Street and the
Northerly Right of Way Line of Columbia Street, all in Pettit's
Second Addition to Pasco, according to the plat thereof recorded
in Volume "B" of plats, page 43, records of Franklin County, shall
be and hereby is, declared to be vacated of any further public use
whatsoever.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco and APPROVED
as provided by law this 20 day of June, 1967.
