HomeMy WebLinkAbout1227 Ordinance_ORDINANCE NO. 1227 ----------- ---- A N ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 OF ORDINANCE NO, 1193 AND BEING AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SOLICITATION IN THE CITY OF PASCO; REQUIRING A LICENSE THEREFORE, AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1193 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 13.. This Ordinance shall not apply to: a) Insurance salesmen, or salesmen calling on wholesalers or retailers. b) Persons selling stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, and having a current City of Pasco business license. c) Any farmer, gardner, or other person selling, delivering, or peddling any fruits, vegetables, berries, butter, eggs, fish, milk, poultry, meats, or any farm produce or edibles caught, raised, pro- duced or manufactured by such person in this State. d) Daily newspaper carriers, whether subscriptions are taken or not. e) Any person selling or delivering milk or milk products, or bakery goods, produced or manufactured in this State, or furnishing to any person laundry and dry cleaning service. f) Any member or members of a religious, charitable, health or welfare political service or youth service organization selling or offering to sell goods or service in order to raise funds for the work of such organization and for no other purpose. g) Persons selling, offering for sale, or taking orders for household goods, cosmetics and supplies; having a currently established route within the City and who have a current business license. h) Representatives of companies offering pesticide and herbicide applications, provided they have a current business license and a current license from the State of Washington. " Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law this day of 1966. G .
