AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SIDEWALKS IN THE CITY OF PASCO PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION NO. 662, PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF
A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON THE ABUTTING PRO-
PERTY, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF COSTS
OF SAID IMPROVEMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described improvements are hereby
ordered to be made by the City of Pasco and the cost thereof shall be borne
by and assessed against the abutting property as set forth below:
IMPROVEMENT
Combined curb and sidewalk along
the West Side of Hickory Avenue,
5 feet wide from Court North to the
existing sidewalk; and a 4- a foot
width sidewalk along the Northside
of Court Street from Hickory Avenue
west to West property line.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY:
That part of the south half of the southeast quarter of the south-
west quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 19, Township 9
North, Range 30 East, W. M. , in Franklin County, Washington,
described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the said S? SEI -

SWI SE4, running thence north along the east line of said tract
329. 7 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said Sz
SE!- SWI SEI, thence west along the north line of said SZ SE4
SWI SE1, a distance of 131. 90 feet; thence south along a line
parallel to the east line of said S2 SE -1 SWI SE4 to the south
line of said tract, thence east along the south line of said Sz
SE4 SWI SE4 to the point of beginning; less the South 40 feet
and the East 30 feet.
The City of Pasco shall not be liable in any manner for any portion
of the cost or expense of said improvement.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise for bids for the making of said improvement, reserving to the City
the right to reject any and all bids.
Section 3. As soon as the cost and expense of said improvement
has been determined, the City Engineer shall cause to be prepared an
assessment roll certified by the City Clerk which shall include the name of
the owner or reputed owner as shown by the tax rolls of the County Treasurer,
of the lot, tract or parcel of land specially assessed, as provided in Section
1 hereof; a brief description of each lot, parcel or tract of land assessed;
and the amount of said assessment. The City Council shall by resolution
fix a time and place for hearing such assessment roll as provided by law.
Section 4. The cost of said improvement shall be paid from monies
available in the City Street Fund, Non Street Cost item, and the special
assessment against the property shall be paid by the property owner within
120 days from the date of confirmation of the assessment roll at the office
of the City Treasurer. Thereafter, any unpaid balance shall bear interest
at the rate of 12% per annum.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after
its passage and publication as required by law.
