AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF MEAD AVENUE LYING BETWEEN
THE EASTERLY PRODUCTION OF THE NORTH LINE OF BLOCK 11, STADIUM
PARK ADDITION TO PASCO,' ACCORDING TO PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN
VOLUME "B" OF PLATS, PAGE 91, AND THE NORTH LINE OF SYLVESTER
STREET. ALSO THAT PORTION OF HASSALO STREET LYING BETWEEN THE
EAST LINE OF MEAD AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE OF ONEONTA AVENUE
EXCEPT THE PORTION THEREOF LYING WITHIN A STRIP OF LAND 20 FEET
IN WIDTH BEING 10 FEET WIDE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE FOLLOWING DES-
CRIBED CENTERLINE; BEGINNING AT A POINT 7.5 FEET EAST OF THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 32, BLOCK 2, PASCO IMPROVEMENT COMPANY'S
FIRST ADDITION TO PASCO,` ACCORDING TO PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN
VOLUME "B" OF PLATS, PAGE 38; THENCE NORTH 30 FEET; THENCE EAST
132.5 FEET TO THE WEST LINE OF ONEONTA AVENUE AND THE TERMINAL
OF SAID LINE,'
WHEREAS , there has heretofore been filed with the City Council of the City
of Pasco by the abutting property owners, a valid petition requesting the vacation
of that portion of Mead Avenue lying between the Easterly production of the North
line of Block 11, Stadium Park Addition to Pasco, according to plat thereof recorded
in volume "B" of plats, page 91, and the North line of Sylvester Street.
Also that portion of Hassalo Street lying between the East line of Mead Avenue
and the West line of Oneonta Avenue EXCEPT the portion thereof lying within a strip
of land 20 feet in width being 10 feet wide on either side of the following described
cetterline; Beginning at a point 7. 5 feet East of the Northeast corner of Lot 32,
Block 2, Pasco Improvement Companyts First Addition to Pasco, according to plat
thereof recorded in volume "B" of plats, page 38; thence North 30 feet; thence East
132. 5 feet to the West line of Oneonta Avenue and the terminal of said line, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held in the Council Chambers of the City of
Pasco before the City Council on the 17th day of March, 1964, and it appearing that
there were no objections to the vacation of said street and it being -deemed to the
best interests of the City of Pasco to vacate said street, NOW, THEREFORE,'
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. That portion of Mead Avenue lying between the Easterly production of
the North line of Block 11, Stadium Park Addition to Pasco, according to plat thereof
recorded in volume "B" of plats, page 91, and the North line of Sylvester S#'eet.
Also that portion of Hassalo Street-, lying between the Exist line of Mead Avenue and
the West line of Oneonta Avenue EXCEPT the portion thereof lying within a strip
of land 20 feet in width being 10 feet wide on either side of the following described
centerline: Beginning at a point 7. 5 feet East of the Northeast corner of Lot 32,
block 2, Pasco Improvement Companyts First Addition to Pasco, according to plat
thereof recorded in volume "B" of plats, page 38; thence North 30 feet; thence
East 132. 5 feet to the West line of Oneonta Avemue and the terminal of said line,
shall be and hereby is. declared to be vacated of any further public use whatsoever.
Section Z. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage
as required by law.
Section 3. PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 7th day of
April, 1964.
