ORDINANCE NO. .1081
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS FOR :THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
OF PASCO AND. REPEALING ORDINANCE NO, 724,. AND CITY OF PASCO CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE" CITY OF, PA.SCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1, .The employees of the City of Pasco shall be entitled to observe
the`followiiig legal holidays;'
a) New Year?s. Day January 1st. ,
b) •Washingtorils Birthday February .22nd
c) . Memorial Day May 30th
d} Indepe,ndenc,e Day July 4th-
e); "Labor Day lst Monday .of September..
f)'', Veterani s -Day November 11th
g:) Thanksgiving Day. 4th Thur s day of .November
h) -Christmas Day December 25th
: '.Section.'2. •. In addition tothe holidays' mentioned in'Section,1, .`the employees
of the City of Pasco shall also -be entitled to observe any day or part thereof pro -r
claimed aJegal holiday by'the Mayors proclamation, and any day or part thereof'
proclaimed a legal holiday by the Governor of the, -State of Washington or the Pres,im
dent of -the United States and which the. Mayor,' in his discretion,: has decided to
-ob s erve...
..Section 3., When any of the holidays described:in Section 1 and Section 2
fall�on Sunday, theMoriday immediately following shall•b'e ,obse'rved as .the legal:
holiday.
Section 4c Employee's regularly scheduT"ed .to,,work on•legaLholidays will
be given compensatory time off•.at the discretion of the Department Head following
the holiday in .giu:estion..
-Se ction. 5. Employees not. regularly scheduled "to -work on a legal holiday
but who are`.called out to work because of an emergency by their Department Head
will; be paid at the rate',of -one and one,!nhalf time their .regular..hourly wage and will
not- be entitled io any. compe. nsatory time off.
Section 6.Employees of. the` Police Department who are working six con-
secutive. days will'be entitled to observe the first day of their consecutive six day
