AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE OFFICES OF CITY CLERK AND CITY ATTORNEY SHALL BE APPOINTIVE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to the.provisions of R. C, W, 35. 24. 020, and 35. 24. 050, the offices of City Clerk and City attorney be and the same hereby are declared to be appointive rather than elective positions. Section 2. The appointmcnts of the City Clerk and the City Attorney shall by by the Mayor subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the City Council. Every appointment or removal must be in writing signed by the Mayor and filed with the City Clerk. Section 3. The City Clerk and City Attorney shall not be appointed for a definite term. Section 4'0 The incumbent City Clerk and City Attorney shall continue to serve for the remainder of their unexpired terms. Section 5. The salaries of the City Clerk and City Attorney.ahall be as set forth in Ordinance No. 981 and Pasco City Code 1-20. 04, or as changed by the City Council from time to time. Section 6. Any ordinances or parts of ordinances *in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect* after its passage and publication as required by -law.
