ORDIN4NCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO.' 930 AND
PASCO CITY CODE 1-3.08, SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO % 254 AND
PASCO CITY CODE 1-3.--12, SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO.' 254 AND
PASCO CITY CODE 1-3.16, AND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO,' 930
AND PASCO CITY CODE 1-3.40; BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO
THE ORGANIZATION AND MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PASCO.'
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 930 and Pasco City Code
1-3. 08 are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Meetings --Order of Business. At all meetings of the
City Council the order of business shall be as follows:
1st -- Call to order.
2nd -- Roll call.
3rd -- Approving the minutes of previous meetings.
4th -- Bills and communications.
5th -- Public Hearings.
6th Petitions, appeals, complaints, and visitors.
7th -- Reading of claims against the city.
8th Report from committees.
9th -- Report from officers.
10th -- Ordinances.
11th -- Resolutions.
12th -- Unfinished business.
13th -- New business.
14th -- Miscellaneous.
15th -- Adjournment. "
Section 2. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 254 and Pasco City Code
1-3. 12 are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Standing committees. There are hereby established the following
named standing committees of the City Council:
1. Committee on Water and Sewers.
2. Committee on Recreation, Library, Park and Cemetery.
3. Committee on Zoning, Planning, Building Inspection,
Legislation, City Building and Property.
4. Committee on Claims, Accounting, Office Management,
Special Finances, and Employee Relations.
5. Committee on Fire, Light, and Airport.
6. Committee on Public Relations, Police, Health, Business
Licenses, and Civil Defense.
7. Committee on Streets and Alleys. "
Section 3. Section .2 of Ordinance No. 254 and Pasco City Code
1-3. 16 are hereby amended to read as follows:
" Committee s»»Membership. Each of said committees shall consist
of four members of the City Council of the City of Pasco, and each
member of each and all of said committees shall be selected by
vote of the City Council. The members of each and all of said stand-
ing committees shall be elected by the City Council at their first
meeting after each general municipal election. "
Section 4. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 930 and Pasco City Code
1-3.40 are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Preparation and approval of minutes. The City Clerk shall
prepare the minutes of all City Council meetings. A copy of the
minutes shall be prepared for the Mayor and each Councilman and
shall be available to each of them at the City Clerks s Office by
4:00- p.m. on the Friday after the regular Tuesday night meeting.
All minutes not. called for before 5:00 p. m. on said Friday will be
mailed to the Mayor and each Councilman at the address which
each shall furnish to the City Clerk from time to time in order
that they will have the minutes by the following Monday morning.
The minutes need not be read in open meeting, except that on
motion of the council the minutes of any previous meeting may be
read in full. The minutes of each meeting must be approved by the
City Council. il
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after
its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
17th day of July, 1962.
