ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE POSITION, APPOINTMENT,
AUTHORITY, DUTIES, AND SALARY OF THE CITY SUPERVISOR -
ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF PASCO, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 624 AND PASCO CITY CODE 1-7 AS IT NOW EXISTS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Position. There is hereby created the position of
City Supervisor -Engineer.
Section 2. Appointment. The Mayor shall appoint and at his
pleasure remove the City Supervisor -Engineer. The appointment or
removal must be in writing, signed by the Mayor, and filed with the
City Clerk.
Section 3. Authority -Supervisor. The City Supervisor -
Engineer shall be the administrative and executive supervisor of
the city under the authority and direction of the Mayor. He shall
assist the Mayor in the performance of his duties and shall do all
things required of him by the Mayor or the City Council, as a body,
to assist in the administration of the City business. He shall over-
see and supervise the various, 61ixy departments as directed to do so
by the Mayor, and shall assist in the coordination and liaison of city
business between the City Council and the.various city officers and
city departments.
Section 4. Authority -Engineer. In addition to the authority
and duties set forth in Section 3 above, the City -Supervisor -Engineer
shall be in charge of the Engineering Department and shall be respons-
ible for the supervising and carrying out of all engineering work done
by or on behalf of the City.
Section 5. Salary. The City Supervisor -Engineer shall
receive a salary in such amount as the City Council may from time
to time establish by ordinance.
Section 6. Ordinance No. 624 and Pasco City Code Chapter
1-7 as it now exists are hereby repealed.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and publication as required by law.
