AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN THE
PARK DEPARTMENT FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO AND
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3, 000. 00 FROM THE PARK
DEPARTMENT FUND FOR "LIGHTS, HEAT, NATURAL GAS,
WATER, AND PHONE" FOR THE BALANCE OF THE YEAR
1959.
WHEREAS when the budget for the year 1959 was made and adopted the City Council
of the City of Pasco could not have accurately foreseen the full amount needed. for "Lights,
Heat, Natural Gas, Water, and Phone" under the Park Department section of the 1959
budget because of an increase in water rates during the year and because of lack of ex-
perience in the cost of natural gas for a new installation and other utilities, and
WHEREAS the additional sum of $3, 000. 00 is needed for lights, heat, natural gas,
water and phone for the balance 'of the year 1959, and
WHEREAS it is now deemed that an emergency does exist in the Park Department
Fund of the City of Pasco relating to the need for said extra monies, and
WHEREAS this emergency is one other than those set forth in R. C. W. 35. 33. 080,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there is an existing emergency in the Park Department Fund of the
City of Pasco, and there is hereby appropriated the sum of $3, 000. 00 from the Park
Department Fund of the City of Pasco to meet such emergency to provide necessary
monies for Lights, Heat, Natural Gas, Water and Phone for the Park Department for the
balance of the year of 1959.
Section 2. That such expenses shall be paid by emergency warrants.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage
and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this/4day of
Nbvember, 1959.
