HomeMy WebLinkAbout0889 Ordinance1 f ORDINANCE NO. 889 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO, AND APPROPRI- ATING THE SUM OF $2,172.48 FROM THE STREET DEPART- MENT FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO FOR LIGHT BITUMINOUS OILING OF LUCAS STREET FROM ('per, , STREET TO EMPIRE WAY. WHEREAS, when the budget now existing for the year 1956 was made and adopted, the City Council of the City of Pasco could not accurately foresee the need for light bituminous oiling of Lucas Street from Court Street to Empire Way during the year 1956, and WHEREAS, additional right of way was secured on said street, making it necessary to widen and oil Lucas Street as above set forth, at a cost of $2,172.48, and WHEREAS, it is now deemed that emergency does exist in the Street Department Fund of the City of Pasco relating to the need for such additional moneys f•or said light bituminous oiling, and WHEREAS, this emergency is one other than as set forth in RCW 35.33.080, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY CCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That there is an existing emergency in the Street Department Fund of the City of Pasco, and there is hereby appropriated the sum of }2,172.48 from the Street Department Fund of the City of Pasco to meet such emergency to provide necessary moneys for the light bituminous oiling of Lucas Street from Caurt Street to Empire Way needed for the fiscal year 1956, such expenses to be paid by emergency warrants. M Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and ef- fect five days after its passage and publication as required by law.
