AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF PASCO OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY.
SITUATED IN FRANKLIN. COUNTY, WASHINGTON, TO-WIT-
THAT
O-WIT:THAT PORTION OF THE EAST- HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST
QUARTER OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 9 NORTH, - RANGE 29
E. W. M., LYING SOUTH OF THE STATE HIGHWAY.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Council of the City of Pasco,
a petition in writing signed by the owners of not less than 75jo in value according

to the assessed valuation for general taxation' of the.pr.operty for which annexa-
tion is petitioned and setting.forth the descri;,ption of said property, and,
WHEREAS, a date for a hearing 'on. said petition was set for August 21,
1956, and notice thereof was duly .published and posted as required. by law, and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was. held thereon on the 21st day of August,
1956, in. the City Council Chamb.ers in the City Half;. Pasco, Franklin County,
Washington, at which time all interested persons were permitted to appear and
voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, satisfactory -proof has been furnished that the requirements of
the statutes have been satisfied, and that the annexation of the ,property herein-
after described is for the best interests of the City of Pasco, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. The following, described real property situated in Franklin
County, State of. -Washington, be and hereby is annexed to the City of. Pasco:
That portion of the east half of the southeast quarter
of Section 24; Township 9 north, Range. 29, E. W. M. ,
lying south of State Highway.
Section 2; The annexation of said property .shall be effective on and after
the effective date of this Ordinance.
Section 3. -This Ordinance shall be in full force and' effect five days after
its passage and publication as required by law.
