AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN THE BUILDING, ALTERATIONS, LAND PURCHASE AND EQUIPMENT FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $5,000.00 FROM THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO TO PAY FOR EXTRASPCP� THE NEW CITY HALL, RENT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT NECESSITATED BY'NEW CONSTRUCTION, SIREN AND RADIO MOVES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT NECESSITATED BY NEW CONSTRUCTION, IN- CREASES IN THE SALES TAXES ON THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ENACTED SINCE THE 1955 BUDGET WAS ADOPTED, AND ADDITIONAL FURNISHINGS AND FURNITURE NECESSARY FOR THE NEW CITY HALL. WHEREAS when the budget now existing for the year 1955 was made and adopted the City Council of the City of Pasco did not foresee the amounts needed for extras for the City Hall, rent for the Fire Department necessitated by new con- struction, siren and radio moves by the Fire Department necessitated by new con- struction., increases in the sales taxes on the -Construction contract enacted since the 1955 Budget was adopted, and additional furnishings and furniture necessary for the new city hall, and WHEREAS it is now deemed that an emergency does exist in the City of Pasco relating to the need for such items as above set forth, and WHEREAS this emergency is one other than those set forth in Chapter 35.33.080, Revised Code of Washington, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. In view of the existing emergency, which is hereby declared to be existing, there is hereby appropriated the sum of $5,000.00 from the Current Expense Fund of the City of Pasco to meet the emergency existing in the Building, Alterations, Land Purchase and Equipment Fund to provide necessary moneys to pay for the extras for the new City Hall, rent for the Fire Department necessitated by new construction, siren and radio moves for the Fire Department necessitated by new construction, increases in the sales taxes on the Construction Contract enacted since the 1955 Budget was adopted, and additional furniture and furnishings necessary for the new City Hall, all of such expenses to be paid by emergency warrants. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after its passage and publication as required by law.
