AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN THE CEMETERY FUND OF THE CITY OF
PASCO AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,000.00 FROM THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND OF
THE CITY OF PASCO TO COMPLETELY RE -WIRE ALL BUILDINGS AT THE CEMETERY.
WHEREAS when the budget now existing for the year 1955 was made and adopted
the City Council of the City of Pasco did not foresee the necessity of re -wiring
all buildings located at the Cemetery, and
WHEREAS the Safety Inspector of the Department of Labor and Industries has
ordered the City of Pasco to completely re -wire all buildings located at the
cemetery to comply with wiring standards as outlined by the National Electric
Code and State rules and regulations with no extension of time to be granted,and
WHEREAS it is now deemed that an emergency does exist in the City of Pasco
relating to the need for such re -wiring, and
WHEREAS this emergency is one other than those set forth in Chapter 35.33.080,
Revised,Code of Washington, NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there is an existing emergency in the Cemetery Fund of
the City of Pasco and there is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,000.00 from
the Current Expense Fund of the City of Pasco to meet such emergency to provide
necessary moneys to completely re -wire all buildings located at the Cemetery to
comply with wiring standards as outlined by the National Electric Gode and State
rules and regulations, such expenses to be paid by emergency warrants.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in effect five days after its passage
and publication as required by law.
