AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THB CITY
OF PASCO; ADOPTING ALL THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED CODE OF WASHINGTON, TITLE
46, INCLUDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE UNIFORM FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY LAiNS, AND
RCW CIIAPTEuRS 47.04, 47.08, 47.12, 47.22, 47.28, 47.32, 47.362 117.40, 47.449 AND
47.48 AND ANY AND ALL XENDMENTS THERETO BY REFERENCE; ALTERING PENALTIES VVHER.E

THE CITE. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 574 and Pasco City Code 8-1.011 are each
amended to read as follows:
In order to make the ordinances of the City of Pasco uniform with the laws
of the State of Washington, all the provisions of the Revised Code of Washington,
Title 46, including the provisions of the Uniform Financial Responsibility Laws,
and RMV Chapters 47.04, 47.08, 47.12, 47.22, 47.28, 47.32, 47.36, 47.40547.44
and 47.118 and any and all amendments thereto are hereby adopted by the City of
Pasco and are by reference made a part of this ordinance rrith the following
exceptions:
1. The penalties set forth in R.C.W. Chapters 46.20.250, 46.52.100, and
46.56.010 are hereby adopted by the City of Pasco and by reference
are made a part of this ordinance. All other penalties shall be as
set forts) in Section 18 of Ordinance 469 and Pasco City Code 8-1.76
alid 8-1.78 as corrected in Section 3 of this ordinance.
2. All references to the county jail shall mean county jail or city
jail.
Section 2. Pa^co City Code 8-1.08 is amended and corrected to read as
follows:
Violation of ,State Lay., Tiilty of Ordinance violation: Any person,
violating any of the terms oZ tine laws referred to in Code Section 8_1.04
within the limits of the City of Pasco shall be guilty of violation of this
chapter.
Section 3. Pasco City Code 81.78 is amended and corrected to read as
follovrs: `
Revocation of Operator's License: In addition to the above penalties
the police judge of the City of Pasco shall have full power and authority, in
accordance with the laws mentioned. in Code section 81,04, to ,suspend, revoke,
and cancel the motor vehicle operator's license of any person convicted in
any police court of negligent driving, reckless driving, or driving or operating
a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or of any
narcotic drug or violation of the Uniform Financial Responsibility Law, R.C.W.
chapters 46.24 and 46.28.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect by five
days after its passage and publication as required by law.
