HomeMy WebLinkAbout0786 OrdinanceTHE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.� AN ORDINANCE specifying and adopting a system or plan of additions to and betterments and exten- sions of the sewerage system of the City which has become a part of the waterworks utility of the City and of additions to and betterments and exten- sions of the waterworks system of the City; declar- ing the estimated cost thereof, as near as may be; and providing that the cost thereof be paid from moneys presently on hand in the Sewage Treatment Plant Construction Fund and Water Construction Fund of the City. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of Pasco hereby specifies and adopts a system or plan of additions to and betterments and extensions of the sewerage system of the City which has become a part of the water- works utility of the City and of additions to and betterments and extensions of the waterworks system to consist of the following: SEWERAGE SYSTEM (1) There shall be constructed and installed a new 12" sewer trunk line commencing at East "A" Street and South Front Street and extending thence along East "A" Street easterly to Sycamore Avenue. WATERWORKS SYSTEM (1) There shall be constructed and installed the following pipelines: A 12" line from Lucas Avenue and Court Street to Arthur Avenue and Court Street; A 12" line from Arthur Avenue and Court Street to Arthur Avenue and Octave Street; A 12" line from Arthur Avenue and Court Street to Arthur Avenue and James Street; A 1611 line from Arthur Avenue and James Street to Airport; A 1211 line from Airport to Cemetary. (2) The water treatment plant shall be improved by the installation of effluent Weirs on sedimenta- tion basins, by the purchase and installation of "Silactor" permanently, by the installation of chemical feeders for air removal and taste and odor control, by the installation of service wash units, and by the re- placement of Pump No. 5 with a 3,000 gallon per minute pump • Pipes shall be of asbestos cement, wrapped and dipped steel, or cast iron, or other suitable permanent type of material. There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of all the necessary, valves, fittings, couplings, connections, equipment and appurtenances and the acquisition of any easements and rights-of-way and land that may be required and there shall also be included the performance of such work as may be inci- dental and necessary to the foregoing construction and installation. The City Council may modify the details of the foregoing system or plan where in its judgment it appears advisable, provided such modifications do not substantially alter the purposes hereinbefore set forth. Section 2. The estimated cost, as near as may be, of the aforesaid system or plan of additions, extensions and betterments of the sewerage system is hereby declared to be $20,000.00. The estimated cost, as near as may be, of the aforesaid system or plan of additions, extensions and betterments of the waterworks system is hereby declared to be $135,000.00. The cost of acquiring, constructing and completing the foregoing additions to and betterments and extensions of the sewer- age system which has become a part of the waterworks utility of the City and the foregoing additions to and betterments and extensions of the waterworks system shall be paid from moneys presently available in the "Sewage Treatment Plant Construction Fund" and the IfWater Construction Fund" of the City, and the City of Fhsco, through its proper officers and agents, shall proceed with the making of said improvements.
