,AN ORDINANCE PMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 656, RELATING TO
THE LICENSING OF DOGS, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR TIME VIOLATION
THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P.ASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5, Ordinance No. 656, approved May 31 1949,
is amended to read aspfollows:
Section 5. Any owner or harborer of any dog so impounded may
regain the same within forty-eight (48) hours from the time of
commencement of impounding, by paying to the City Clerk the prey -
scribed license fee together with a penalty of One Dollar ($1.00)
and obtaining from the City Clerk a license tag in the manner above
prescribed and a receipt for said penalty of One Dollar ($1.00);
and further, by paying to the Pound Master the cost to -the city of
boarding a dog at the rate of One Dollar ($1.00) per day, any frac-
tion of a day to constitute a full day for purposes of determining
the amount to be charged for boarding any dog. Upon presentation
of such license tag and receipt for penalty paid together with re-
ceipt for board paid to the Dog Warden, said animal shall be released
at once.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in effect five (5) days
after its passage and publication.
