ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A JUVENILE FISHING POND, SETTING UP
RULES.AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CONTROL THEREOF., AND PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: That the purpose of this ordinance is to
establish a juvenile fishing pond with the City of Pasco as the c
regulating authority.
Section II: That the juvenile fishing pond is that
real property located in Franklin County, Washington, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point 525.0 feet south and
785.0 feet east of the northwest corner of
Section 31, Township 9 North, Range 30 East,
W.M., thence along the line bearing south
67°39' east for a distance of j, 2 0.0. 0
feet, thence along a line bearing south 22
21' west for a distance of 360.0 feet plus or
minus to the toe of the slope of the levee,
thence along a lime along the toe of the slope
of the levee bearing north 67°39' west for a
distance of /2000-0 feet, thence along
a line bearing north 22x21' east for a distance
of 360.0 feet plus or minus to the point of
beginning.
Section III: That the following rules and regulations
are hereby adopted to control the juvenile fishing pond:.
a. The use of floating devices in the pond shall
be prohibited.
b. All swimming and wading in. the pond shall be
prohibited.
c. The maximum daily limit shall be ten (10) fish
per angler.
d. The maximum weekly limit shall be twenty (20)
fish per angler; the beginning of a week being midnight
Saturday.
e. The pond shall be open only during the regular
lowland lake season as established by the State Game
Commission.

f. The pond shall be open only/juveniles under the
age of fourteen (14), as established by the Washington
State Game Department.
g. The juvenile angler may not be assisted by anyone
over the age limit, except in the process of baiting a hook
or removing a hook from a fish.
h. The area extending on either side of the pump
intakes including both sides of the drainage ditch, com-
prising the entire south side of the pond, shall be closed.

Section IV: That any person violating the terms of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not
exceeding Twenty -Five Dollars (425.00); every day upon which such
violation shall occur shall constitute a separate offense.
Section V: If any section, sentence, clause, phrase, or
other part of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining part thereof.
Section VI: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after its passage and publication.
