ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE BEING AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND APPRO-
PRIATING CERTAIN MONIES FROM THE PARK FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO
FOR FIRE INSURANCE ON THE PREMISES OF THE.PASCO COMMUNITY CENTER.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington,
as follows:
WHEREAS, at the time of adopting the budget for the year of
1952, the need for fire insurance on what is commonly known as the
U. S. 0. Building, the Pasco Community Center, could not have been
reasonably foreseen; and that such expenditure is necessary to properly
maintain and preserve such property for the use of the City; and
WHEREAS, this is an emergency other than those enumerated in
Remington's Revised Statutes 9000-6 (Rev. Code of Washington 35.33.080),
and the City Council of the City of Pasco does ordain as follows:
Section I. That an emergency is hereby declared to exist in
the City of Pasco, and that there is need for fire insurance upon the
premises of the Pasco Community Center, also known as the U. S. 0.
building, and that the premium therefor is in the sum of $975.39, and
which could not have been reasonably foreseen when the budget for
the year 1952 was adopted and there is accordingly appropriated from
the Park Department fund the sum of $975.39 to pay the premium on
such :fire insurance policy.
Section II. This ordinance to be in full force and effect five
(5) days after its passage and publication.
