AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO FIREMEN IN THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING AND CREATING A PENSION SYSTEM AND A PENSION FUND IN SAID CITY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE STATUTES OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, AS PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 91 OF THE LAWS OF 1947; AND REPEALING.ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, as follows.: Section I. That there is hereby establishedt:,and created in the City of Pasco, Washington, a firements relief and pension system as provided for in Chapter 91 of the Session Laws of the State of Washington for the year 1947. Section II. That for the purposes of this Ordinance, all of the provisions of said statute are hereby adopted by said City of Pasco and are made ,a part hereof by reference. Section III. That there is hereby created in said City a Municipal Firements Pension Board, consisting of, ex officio, the Mayor, who shall be Chairman of the Board, the City Clerk, the City Treasurer, and in addition, two regularly employed firemen elected as provided by said statute, which said board shall have all the powers and authority provided for by said statute. Section IV. That there be and is hereby created and established in the Treasury Department of said City a Fund to be known .and designated as "FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND", into which shall be paid all monies, fees, etc. by said statute required, and the City Treasurer shall at all times keep accurate books of account of all transactions of such Fund, and such accounts shall be audited as other accounts of said City are audited. Section V. All of the ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Sectio VI. This ordinance shall be effective five (5) days after :its passage and publication.
