ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT LAND WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO UPON
WHICH CONSTRUCTION IS TO TAKE PLACE SHALL BE PLATTED BEFORE A
BUILDING PERMIT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE ISSUED AND PRE-
SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City (f Pasco do ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this
ordinance, no building permit shall be issued for new construction
within the City of Pasco unless at the time of applying for such
permit, the property upon which construction shall take place
shall have been properly and duly platted and the plat thereof
filed for record in the office of the County Auditor, as provided
by law. It is the intention of this ordinance to promote and
encourage the platting of property within the City of Pasco, so
that streets, alleys, sewers and water lines as well as electricity
and other utilities will be expanded in an orderly manner..
SECTION 2. The provisions of the above section shall
apply to any land situate within the city limits of the City of
Pasco, excepting any land that may comprise a portion of any
railroad right-of-way.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating
the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and shall be punished by a fine of $300.00 or thirty (30)
days in jail.
SECTION 4. This ordinance to be in full force and
effect five (5) days from and after its passage and
and publication.
