HomeMy WebLinkAbout0628 OrdinanceORDINANCE N0. 628 r AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE PLANTING, TRIMMING AND REMOVAL OF TREES ON THE PARKING STRIPS OF THE CITY OF PASCO, AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Pasco do ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: From and after the taking effect of this Ordinance, all trees planted, removed or trimmed on or within any parking strip within the City of Pasco shall be under the direction and supervision of the Street Department. SECTION TWO: It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to set out, plant, trim or remove any tree or trees from any of the parking strips within the City of Pasco without written permission of the Superin- tendent of Streets or the City Engineer, and all such planting, set- ting out, trimming or removal shall be done according to any and all requirements of the said Superintendent of Streets or City Engineer. SECTION THREE: _ Before any person or persons shall obtain permission to, or shall remove or trim any tree or trees within any of the parking strips within the City of Pasco, he or they, shall deposit with the City Clerk a good and sufficient bond in the sum of not less than Five Thousand Dollars ($59000.09) indemnifying the city against all damages of property or personal injuries which bond shall be ap- proved by the City Attorney and the Mayor before the same shall be- come effective. SECTION FOURS Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300) or imprisonment in the City Jail for a term not exceed- ing ninbty (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after its passage and publication. Passed by the Council this Z day of _1948. Approved by the Mayor this a 7 day of 1948.
