ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO FIRE HAZARDS IN THE CITY OF PASCO,
REGULATING THE HANDLING AND BURNING OF TRASH:REQUIRING NOTICE TO
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF SHUTTING OF46DF WATER -OR CLOSING STREETS,
OR OTHER ACTS WHICH MIGHT INTERFERE WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN
THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR WORK OR DUTIES.'
The City Council of the City of Pasco do ordain as follows:
Sectional,
It shall be unlawful to burn any trash or other substance
or substances within the limits of fire zone l,of the city of Pasco,
without first obtaining a permit from the Chief of the Fire Department.
Section 2,
All trash or refuse,other than garbage from eating estab-
lishments,within the limits of fire zone l,of the city of Pasco,
shall be kept within or in a container with a.lid on which lid shall.
be kept closed at all times excepting when trash is being put into
or taken out of such container. All garbage from eating establish-
ments,shall be kept and disposed of in thr manner required by the
HO'A, theDb�partment.
Section 3,
Except in emergency cases, before the water is shut off
any
in any water mains of the City,or/streets or alley sYialldbe closed
or obstructed in such manner as to interfere with the Fire Depart-
ment in the normal use thereof,the city Fire Department shall be
notified in writing,stating the location and extent thereof. In em-
ergency cases where it becomes necessary to shut water off in any
of the water mains,or close of obstruct any street or alley,the Fire
Department shall immediately thereafter be notified.by the party or
parties causing said water to be shut off or street or alley closed
or obstructed. Notice shall be given to the Fire Department immedia-
tely when such water isagainturned on or such street or alley
again opened to normal use and traffic.
Section 4,
Any person or persons violating any.of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a
fine of not to exceed one hundred dollars or thirty days in.the
City jail or both such fine and imprisonment.

Section 5,
This ordinance to be full force and effect five days after
its passage and publication.
