ORDINANCE NO. 43
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SECONDt'MEAS CLAUSE OF ORDINANCE NO. 531, REPEALING
ALL OTHER ORDINANCES, PROVISIONS, OR CLAUSES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION HEREOF AND THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the Second WHEREAS Clause of Ordinance No. 531 be, and the
same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
ItWHEAEAS, it is the judgment of this City Council, and it is a fact, that
public health is being endangered by the discharge of raw and untreated sewage
into the Columbia River within the State of Washington, and the danger to the
public health may be abated by the construction and maintenance of a sewage
disposal plant, including a sewage dystem as a part thereof, for which no
general indebtedness shall be incurred by the City of Pasco, which is re—
sponsible for such contamination; and"
Section 2: All other ordinances, provisions, and clauses in conflict with
the foregoing are hereby repealed.
Section 3: This Ordinance, upon its passage and approval, shall be published
once in The Pasco Herald, a newspaper published in the city of Pasco; and shall
be in full force and effect at the expiration of five days from and after the
date of such publication.
