SECTION 19 That a public emergency exists in .the. City of Pasco;
,as•hington,. which could•not have been reasonably. i'oreseen at the time
of making the ,annual budget 'for t/he year 19423 and 'wkiich em.e'rg,endy
requires the expenditure. of money not .provided,for in said budget in
cpnn-eetion with the operation and expense of, a• municipal defense.
commission, and for the ci.vil,ian defense of •the • city .occas ioned by
the existing war:
SECTION 2.1 That the Mayor and City Clerk -of the City 'of Pasco
are hereby'authorized upon approval'of appropriate vouchers for the
same approved by 'the City Council, to 'issue warrants.upon the current
expense fund for medical and first aid supplies for the Municipal
Defense Commission and for the civilian defense of the city in a sum
/in the agregate
not e�>ceeding •;500.00• and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized -to .
cash and pay any such warrants out of any raonies' on hand in the city
treasury in the current expense fund.
SECTIOP? Therecis hereby appropriated to the current expense
fund for .medical and first•.aid supplies for the 1'unicipal 'Defe•nse
Commission the s= of -?:500.00,.• all in addition to any monies contained
in' the. original budget and estimate of expense heretofore adopted by
