BE it ordained by the City Council of the City of Pasco

as follows:

SECTION 1.

That the following described property, to -wit:

Blocks 18, 19,20, 21,22, 23, 24, 25, 34
16 , 356, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 in Riverside
Addition to the City of Pasco, and Lots 1
17 to 33 inclusive in River B1'o,ok, excepting
from any of the - above described property
18 any and all property owned,by the City of
Pasco and now used for or in connection
19 with the s%aimmi4g beach,
20 now included in residential district R 2, be and the same is here=
21 by transferred in and placed in manufacturing district It! and is
22 subjected to all the rules, regulations and restrictions provided -
23 in ordinance No. 435 for property in manufacturing district I:I 1.

This ordinance is to be supplementary and amendatory only

to ordinance No. 435 and said ordinance shall be and remain in
28
effect except only as the same may be in conflict with the prov-
29
isions hereof; in the event of any conflict of said ordinance
30 and the provisions hereof, the provisl ons of this ordinance shall
31 prevail.

ORDINANCE NO. 455
Confirmation that Ordinance No. 455 was approved by the City of Pasco Council
on December 19, 1940, since the ordinance on record was not fully executed
(signed by Mayor Raymond Hicks or attested by A. Perry.)
On October 23, 1940, the City of Pasco Council received and discussed Ordinance No. 455 (at the time
noted at Ordinance No. 454), AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER PROPERTY NOW IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
R.2. TO MANUFACTURING DISTRICT M.1. AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 435 ENTITLED
“AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND US OF BUILDINGS AND THE USE OF
LAND WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON : TO LIMIT THE HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS: TO PRESCRIBE
BUILDINGS LINES AND THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES AND FOR THESE PURPOSES TO
DIVIDE THE CITY INTO DISTRICTS” AND PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PROPERTY NOW IN
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R.2. TO MANUFACTURING DISTRICT M.1. AND SUBJECTING THE SAID PROPERTY
TO ALL THE RULES AND RELATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 435 FOR PROPERTY INCLUDED
IN MANUFACTURING DISTRICT M.1.
A motion was made and seconded that Ordinance No. 455 (454) has had its first reading. After a lengthy
discussion and tracing on the zoning map that portion to to be transferred it was unanimously decided
by the Council to set a time for a public meeting to year from the property owners in the above districts
November 14th eight o’clock P.M. was the date decided upon, meeting to be held at the City Hall;
Notices to appear in the local new paper at least two successive weeks.
On November 14, 1940, the City of Pasco Council held the public hearing for Ordinance No. 455 (454)
On December 6, 1940, the City of Pasco Council ordered the following: Ordinance No. 455 (454) was set
aside for hearing at the next regular meeting December 19, 1940. Motion made by Linderman seconded
by Burns carried so ordered.
On December 19, 1940, it was noted that the City Clerk erroneously gave two ordinances the same
number, whereby creating the official change of Ordinance No. 455, AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND
ORDINANCE NO. 435 ENTITLED “AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND US
OF BUILDINGS AND THE USE OF LAND WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON: TO LIMIT THE HEIGHT
OF BUILDINGS: TO PRESCRIBE BUILDINGS LINES AND THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES AND
FOR THESE PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO DISTRICTS” AND PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY NOW IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R.2. TO MANUFACTURING DISTRICT M.1. AND
SUBJECTING THE SAID PROPERTY TO ALL THE RULES AND RELATIONS PROVIDED IN SAID ORDINANCE
NO. 435 FOR PROPERTY INCLUDED IN MANUFACTURING DISTRICT M.1.
The City of Pasco Council approved Ordinance No. 455 through a motion, “Motion made by Linderman
seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. 455 be finally adopted, motion carried so ordered.
