HomeMy WebLinkAbout0441 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. /r//// AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING, STANDING, AND STOPPING FOR PURPOSES OF LOADING AND UNLOADING IN THE VICINITY OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE CITY OF PASCO, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THF; VIOLATION THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN E%:E-RGENCY. The City Council Of The City Of Pasco Ordains As Follows: SECTION ONE: For the purposes of this ordinance the word "vehicle" shall mean every device capable of being moved upon a public highway, and in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a public highway, excepting devices moved by human power. SECTION TWO: It shall be unlawful to park, leave standing, and stop for the purposes of loading or unloading, at all times, any vehicle in the following places withinthe City of Pasco: The East and West Sides of North Third Street between Yakima Street and Nixon Street; The North Side of East Lewis Street bet -ween Franklin Street and- Charles nd Charles Street; The South Side of East Lewis Street between Idaho Avenue and Ca.liforniAM"tune'e; The East and West Sides of North Eighth Street between Bonneville Street and Shoshone.Street. A""Oae- SECTION THREE: The provisions of this -.shall apply to school buses. SECTION FOUR: Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction in the Police Court of the City of Pasco be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than thirty days, or both. SECTION FIVE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its 'passage and publication.
