AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
Whereas an emergency has arisen which could not reasonably have
been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1938,
requiring the expenditure of money to place a new roof upon.the City
Hall, the money for mhich was not provided in said budget, and it
will be necessary to expend for said purpose an amount of money esti-
.
mated at dollars..
THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Pasco do ordain as
follows:
SECTION I,.
That an emergency.exists requiring the expenditure for the pur-
pose of placing a new roof upon the City Hall of money in the estima-

ted amount of dollars.
SECTION II,
That the City Clerk be and is authorized and directed to issue
the city's emergency warrants for all expenditures made for said pur-
pose, the said warrants to be paid from any monies ori hand in the
city treasury in the fund properly chargeable . with such expenditure,
and the city treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants
out of any monies on hand in the fund provided for the care and main-
tenance or improvement of the City Hall... If there is insufficient
money on hand in such fund to pay such warrants when issued, the same
shall be registered and bear interest at a rate not exceeding.i
per cent per annum. Provision shall be made for the retirement of
any such emergency warrants which shall be outstanding at the.t.ime
of the adoption of the budget for the year 1939.
