HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-17-1968 MinutesCITY OF PASCO MINUTES OF THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING CALL TO ORDER: SEPTEMBER 17, 1968 Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Honorable G.E. Carter, Mayor. ROLL CALL: By Director. of Administration. Councilmen present were: G.E. Carter, Donald Cooper, and George Stork. Councilmen absent were: Arthur Fletcher, Robert Greenlee, Ed Hendler, and Allen Stinson. Also present were: City Manager, City Attorney, Director of Administration, and Director of Community Development. DECLARATION OF NO -QUORUM: Because a majority of the Councilmen were not present, Mayor Carter declared a "No -Quorum Meeting";;.therefore, no business can be transacted by the Pasco City Council. RESIGNATION - ALLEN STINSON: The following letter of resignation was read from Councilman Allen Stinson: "On September 16, 1968, my place of residence was changed to 10413 Willow Way in Franklin County and outside of the City limits of Pasco. Although I own property within the City limits of Pasco, an Attorney General ruling requires that I resign immediately. My year as a Councilman has been one of the highlights of my lifetime. It will make it much easier to understand the effort that you, as Councilmen, put forth even though you are being critiefied by the press. Thanks for your cooperation." VISITORS: Mayor Carter asked the City Manager if there were visitors in the audience who had been on the Agenda. The City Manager stated that Mr. Dale Hooks, Manager of Lincoln Terrace Housing Project was present, relative to the development of land adjacent to Kurtzman Park for recreation purposes. A brief discussion was held regarding various media's of funding, but no official action was taken at this time. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
