ADJOURNED MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBERS JANUARY 18, 1963
CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called'to order at 8:00 P.M. by Honorable Mayor T. R. Van Hoy.
ROLL CALL:
By Clerk. Councilmen present were G. E. Carter, -L. R. Diemond, R. L. Greenlee, Ed Hendler, H.C. James,
C. D. Kilbury and A. D. Stanley. City Supervisor G.R. Fisher was present; City Attorney R.G. Patrick
was absent.
PUBLIC HEARING --VACATING P_ORTION.SGOFLGRACECAND CLARK STS.:
Legal Notice of Public Hearing was read. Mayor declared the Hearing open. Roger Olson spoke supporting
the vacation and submitted a check in the amount of $630.00 to finance the change in location of a
water line and also presented an easement signed by Elvia Rodrick Robertson and Ruby Robertson on Lot C,
subject to passing of Ordinance No. 1080. No protests were made at the Hearing and none received by
mail. Mayor declared the Hearing closed. A few words were exchanged between the Council.
ORDINANCE NO. 1080, (Submitted by Roger Olson):
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THOSE PORTIONS OF GRACE STREET AND WEST CLARK STREET LYING
WITHIN THE BLOCK BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY 13TH STREET AND ON THE NORTH BY WEST CLARK
STREET AS IT NOW EXISTS, AND VACATING THAT PORTION OF WEST CLARK STREET LYING
WITHIN THE BLOCK BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY 13TH STREET AND ON THE NORTH BY CLARK
STREET AS IT NOW EXISTS SUBJECT TO AN EASEMENT OVER A PORTION OF VACATED GRACE
STREET FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES
Motion made by Carter, seconded by James, that Ordinance No. 1080 be read. Motion carried. Ordinance
No. 1080 was read: Motion made by James, seconded by Kilbury, that Ordinance No. 1080 has been read.
Motion carried. Councilman Stanley placed a question or two; same answered satisfactorily. Motion
made by Carter, seconded by James, to adopt Ordinance No. 1080. Motion carried by roll call vote of
seven (7).
COMMUNICATIONS:
REFUND. C. G. GRIGG:
Sidewalk permit issued to and paid for by C. G. Grigg in the amount of $16.05. 129 feet is abutting
City property and should be refunded. Motion made by Hendler, seconded by Diemond, authorizing refund
in the amount of $16.05. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven (7).
BOND RESERVE FUND TRANSFER:
Water Superintendent C.F. Whetsler requests permission to set up a bond reserve fund in the 1963
budget by transfer of $6,600.00 from the Bond Redemption Fund, complying with Bond Ordinance No. 1070
passed December 4, 1962. Motion made by Stanley, seconded by Kilbury, that transfer, as requested,
be granted. Motion carried.
0RDiNANCE NO. 1077:
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO VACATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PASCO AND REPEALING PASCO CITY CODE
2-2.04 AND ORDINANCE NO. 535.
Motion made by Kilbury, seconded by James, that Ordinance No. 1077 be tabled until Tuesday, February 5,
1963. Motion carried.

carried.
