Grand total for all Departments 61,358.99° COMMUNICATIONS: 6 VOLT ALTERNATOR (E. E. MATHESON): A letter was read from -Mr. Matheson offering to purchase the alternator for $22.50. Motion made b y Bonnett, seconded by Combs to turn this to the Police Committee. Motion carried. LIBRARY BUILDING STUCCO: A letter was read from J. E. Riner, Librarian, stating that the Board was greatly disturbed over the fact that they cannot obtain any definite information as to the status of the work on the building. If and when a meeting is held to discuss this matter she, would like to know in time so that members of the board may attend. A Representative of the Portland Cement Association is to be here during the week of July 9th -to help with problem now encountered. No action taken. RESIGNATIONS -AIRPORT COMMITTEE: Two (2) letters were read tendering resignations of Fred Huber,�'D. C. Isaacson and Harry V. Custer from the Airport Committee. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Combs accepting the resignations. Motion carried. Appointing a Committee to act for th.e time being to assist the manager was mentioned by Bonnett. Resolution to be consulted. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Zier that a Committee be approved :from the City Council with Raymond Hicks to act as Chairman and Combs and VanHoy as members. Motion carried. INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENT: A letter was read from Director of Plannin-g William B. Austin stating that the Commission recommended that he attend this meeting. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Zier that the recommendation be granted. Motion carried. REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 4.56 & 637: The second letter was read from Mr. Austin stating that these Ordinances conflict with the Building Code. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Combs that Commission prepare Ordinance as suggested. Motion carried. EMPIRE WAY: A letter was read from Sudney W. Glover, Planning Director, Kennewick, stating that the names "Columbia Bridge" and "Inter -City BridgO wi5re unanimously accept- ed by the Planning `%ommission. WASHINGTON SURVEYING & RATING BUREAU: A letter was read -from L. A. Leonard, reporting the acceptance test conducted on the 1,000 g.p.m. pumper delivered to the City Fire Department from Roney Inc. Test form attached. REFUNDS: B.'D.-Towne,'1532 N. Arthur, Dog license $2.00 Wm. W. Hayes, 1815 E. Lewis Business license 5.00 Motion made by Combs, seconded by VanHoy authorizing the City Treasurer to refund as requested. GULAR MEETI PASCO, WASHINGTON COUNCIL CHAMBERS NORTHERN PACIFIC LOCOMOTIVE NO. 1354 JULY 3. 1956 Ray McGowan spoke to the Coun(til stating that the Northern Pacific requests that a fence -be erected to prevent vandalism; foundation will have to be prepared; sod removed, gravel and oement'needed for site. Moving sprinkling system necessary. Port District may have gravel available. Motion mpde by Bonnett, seconded by Combs that all City Department Heads, Water, Street and ark are hereby instructed to cooperate with whatev'er'-help they can render in the operation of locating the eng- ine. Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 382: A Resolution accepting the steam locomotive donated by the Northern Pacific Rail- way Company for placement, protection and maintenance in the Volunteer Park of the City of Pasco was read. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Combs to adopt Res- olution No. 382. Motion carried by roll call vote of five (5). PASCO PISTOL CLUB: Jim Rabideau representing the Pistol Range at the Airport made a request that their rent of $20.00 per month be reduci3d and stated numerous reasons for same. Motion made by Combs, seconded by Bonnett to turn this to'the Airport ''ommittee and man- ager for investigation and report. Motion carried.
