COUNCIL CHAMBERS

CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at 8:00 P. M. Honorable "ayor Harry V. Custer presiding.
ROLL CALL:
By Clerk. Councilmen present were L.. E. Bonnett, C. n. Combs, T. R. VanHoy and
David Zier. Absent S. A. Connell, Raymond Hicks and C. S. Milne. City Attorney
Richard G. Patrick was present.
READING OF THE MINUTES.:
Minutes of meeting held December 20th, 1955 and January 3, 1956 were read and
approve.d .
COMMUNICATIONS:
CALL FOR RIDS -JANITORIAL SERVICE:.
Legal notice on call for bids was read. Six (6) bids were received, opened and

CUTTING CURBS:
A letter was read from the Inland Motors, Inc. requesting permission to cut curb
in front of used car lot at 319 W. Clark... Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by
Zier to refer request to Police Committee. Motion carried.
CITY OWNED PROPERTY:
A letter was read from A. F. Sylvester withdrawing his request to purchase 12' of
Lot 23, School Block Addition to Pasco.
PUBLIC uOUSING ADMINISTRATION:
A letter was read from Public Housing Administration Field Office, stating that
their central office has cleared. for transfer to the City of Vasco all drawings and
specifications pertaining to Housing Project WASH -45200 which project has been
relinquished to Pasco and to advise if the documents are to be forwarded to the
Mayor. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by VanHoy instructing the Mayor to request
transfer of drawings and specifications. Motion carried.
TRANSFER BOND REDEMPTION AND INTEREST:
The following transfers requested by the City Treasurer. Motion made by Bonnett,
seconded,by Combs authorizing transfers. Motion carried.

No one desired to speak so regular order of business was resumed by unanimous
consent.

SEWER RELOCATION:
City Engineer spoke on relocation of sewer in Helm's Second Addition. Motion made
by Bonnett, seconded by Combs to advertise for bids on relocation of sewer line in
Blocks 24 and 25, Helm's Second Addition between Sylvester and Irving; Illinois and
Pacific. Bids callable at 8:00 P. M., Tuesday, February 7, 1956. City Engineer to
furnish specifications. Motion carried.

SEWER SYSTEM INVESTIGATION:
Proposal on Engineering work to develop a master plan for storm and sanitary
sewer development.
Area to be covered by this survey is the west city limits to approximately Road
No. 68 which would include sections 22 and 27 to the west. Total area to be
considered is 4,900 acres.
Phases 1, 2 and 3 were explained b y,Mr. Holly A. Cornell; cost of the three phases
would be $10,150.00 where their company did all the wo �k. City Engineer to work
with Mr. Cornell to ascertain how much of the work if any could be done by the city.
The 'Mayor suggested an executive meeting to be held on Tuesday_, 8:00 P. M., Jan-
uary 24, 1956. City Clerk to notify council members.

Motion made by Combs, seconded by VanHoy to adjourn to next regular meeting,
8:00 P. M., Tuesday, February 7, 1956• Motion carried.
