Meeting called to order at 8:05 P. M. Honorable Mayor Pro tem L., E: Boni,ett presid-
ing.
ROLL CALL:
By Clerk. Councilmen present were L. E. Bonnett, C. R. Combs, S.'A.'Connel.l,
Raymond Hicks, "C. S. Milne and T. R. VanHoy. J. A. Avery was absent. City Attorney
Richard G. Patrick was present.
PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNUAL BUDGET ORDINANCE NO. 851:
Notice of public hearing was read. Mr4 Ivan Merrick spoke relative to development
of Kurtzman's Park -and asks that more money be available for this project.
Following a short discussion and by unanimous consent, $1,327.20 was allocated -
to the Kurtzman's Park Development from Real Estate Purchawe in the Current Exp-
ense Fund.
Motion made by Coiinbs, seconded by Milne to give Ordinance No. -851 the second read-
ing by title . Votion carried. Ordinance No. 851 was read. Motion made by Connell,
seconded 'by H16ks t}jat Ordinance No. 851 has been -given the second -reading by title.
Motion carried.
No other protests were received by letter or in person.
Motion made by -Milne, seconded by Combs to give Ordinance'No. 851 the third read-
irig as amended, department by department and item by item. Motion carried. Ord-
inance No. "851 .was read in- detail. .19`200 OQ. was added to the Police Department
for'uhiforms; this also taken from'Real Estate'Purchase,'Currerit Expense -Fund,
leaving $1;'000.00 --in Real Estate Purchase. $29000.00'was transferred from Airport
fund -to .Current Expense to assist with services received -by the Airport from Clerk's
Office,�Fire and Police'Departments. Other minor changes were within the department
where changes were made. Motion made by Milne, seconded by Combs to adopt Ordinance
No. 851,E Motion carried by roll call vote of six (6).

ADMIRAL B. G. LAKE WITH DIVILIAN DEFENSE:
Mayor Pro tem L. E. Bonnett suggested that the council members remain and hear
from Admiral Be G. Lake#,Civilian Defense Director.

Motion made by Milne, seconded by Hicks that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
