HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-13-1955 Minutes�,^ 2338 ADJOURNED CALL TO ORDER: PASCO, WASHINGTON JUNE 13. 1 Meeting called to order at 12:00 noon. Honorable Mayor Harry V. Custer presiding. ROLL CALL: By Clerk. Councilmen present were J. A. Avery, L. E. Bonnett, C. R. Combs, S. A. Connell, Raymond Hicks and C. S. Milne. Absent was T. R. VanHoy. City Attorney Richard G. Patrick was present. Approving data on leasing city owned property on West Clark was reviewed in detail. RESOLUTION NO. 362: Resolving that the city owned property described as follows be leased to the best and highest bidder. That the advertisement for bidders and proposal are made a part of this resolution. Resolution No. 362 was read by the Mayor. Information to bidders read by Bonnett. Minimum rental fee discussed. Motion made by Milne, seconded by Avery to set the minimum rental fee at $2,000.00 per year. Paragraph 6, identified as pay- ments on Page three. Motion carried. Proposal read by Bonnett. On page four, item 9, bid security discussed. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Combs that bid security be set at $500.00. Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 362 was discussed. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Milne to adopt Resolution No. 362 subject to the following additions: 1) Leasee agrees to install sidewalk and curbs if and when requested 2) Agrees to pay property share.of street improvements if and when requested 3) Property description in bid documents to be changed to allow 10' thereby allowing 40' to street center on Lucas; no improvements to be made on the 10 feet, thus providing an 80' street. Motion carried by roll call vote of five (5) Connell had been excused. WATER COMMITTEE REPORTS: West The Committee recommends the extension of a 12" water line ori/Sylvester Street from Road 36 to serve the Haystead property. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Milne to accept the recommendation. Motion carried. BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATION: MERRY-GO-ROUND, & PONY RIDES, No. 3rd & NIXON: E. H. Moser presented application for Business License to operate merry-go-round and pony rides. Last years 'operator at this location paid fee of $25.00 for the vacation period. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery approving the applic- ation. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made .y Hicks, seconded by Avery to adjourn. Motion carried.
