.Company's First Addition to Pasco.
Cit,y'Clerrk states that this notice did not reach the Tri City Herald. Motion made
by Avery, seconded by Milne to hold public hearing on Tuesday, April 5, 1955•
Motion carried.
REZONING CITY OWNED PROPERTY:
A letter -was read from Wendell P. Brown relative to the passing of a bill in the
Legislature allowing the City to vacate the property west of the shopping center
project also requesting the Council to authorize the Mayor to sign petition for
rezoning change when presented. Motion carried.
TRUCK PARKING & GARAGE WORK R-1:
A -letter was read from Mrs. Charles Grigg relative to a commercial trucking enter-
prise being carried on by Mr. Fricke at Illinois and Irving in residential dist-
rict R-1. Motion made by Connell, seconded by Craig to turn this to the Police
Committee to bring in ordinance for approval to correct nuisance created by these
vehicles. Motion carried.

approving the request. Motion carried.

of 1454 votes cast.
INSURANCE POLICY OR BOND (TREE TRIMMING):
Mr. W. Thomas and J. R. Cox filed an Insurance Policy instead of a bond as re-
quired by Ordinance No. 628.
Insurance .Committee recommends that the limits of the liability policy be in -
dreaded to $1q 000.00/20,000.00 for Bodily Injury; $5,000.00 property damage and
the -hold -harmless clause incorporated in the policy and requesting that Ord-
inance No."628 be amended requiring the liability coverage. Motion made by
Avery, seconded by Bonnett that the recamrnendatign of the Insurance Committee
be accepted. Motion carried. City Attorney took data from file for preparation
of Ordinance. `
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
ARTERIAL HIGHWAY:
Mr.'Matherson suggests that Arthur Street be made an arterial and stop signs
be placed on Octate. A discussion was entered into relatiue to need of arterial
on North 5th and Authur. Motion made by `Avery, seconded by Milne to turn this
to the Police and Street Committees for investigation and report. Motion carried.

N. P. PROPERTY BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND THE RIVER, 12th AND 13th:
Moving Street Department Barn and yard for Armory construction.
A fetter was read from J. T. Moore with Lease and map attached, of 'a site ob-
tainable for City use, for a rental fee of $100.00 per Yye-arlh... Moving the Air-
port was also considered. Street Department to be moved by July 1, 1955•
Motion made by Avery, seconded by Craig to table decision for investigation
by the Water, Street and Property Committees. Motion carried.

John Deitrich has option until March 10th on 40 acres in Four Mile Canyon. The
old dump is badly in'need of a new trench; Beitrich is reluctant to do anymore
work on -the old dump. Motion -made by Bonnett, seconded by Milne that John Dei-
tr3ch purchase of the new dump site be approved for use as a city dump and that
the City 'have an'option to purchase property if and when John Deitrich's con-
tract terminates. City Attorney to present option to cover. Motion carried.
Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Milne that the County Commissioners be re-
quested to approve the new site. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE SETTING UP FEES FOR SERVICES:

VACATING GRACE STREET:
No report.
SIDEWALKS AT 10th and Shoshone:
Chairman of the Street Committee reports that the sidewalk and curb should be
constructed according to ordinance and to comply with the balance of the block;
changing'at this location would only make another irregular fine. Motion made
by Milne, seconded by Bonnett that sidewalk and curb be constructed according to
ordinance and the rest of the block at 10th, west on Shoshone. Motion carried.
OFF STREET PARKING:
Motion made by Connell, seconded by Milne that the City Attorney be instructed to
draw an ordinance'on off street. parking, setting out 100% parking space on all
multiple rental dwellings. Motion carried.
FIRE DEPARTMENT getting ready to move to their new temporary location.
RESOLUTION NO.. 359: Resolution discussed. (Code) Motion made by Craig, seconded
y Connell to set a valuation of .$5.00 on each volume. Motion carried.

APPOINTMENT, HOUSING AUTHORITY:
Mayor Custer appointed J. G. Ungerecht to succeed William Kirchner, term ex-
piring January 28, 1960. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Milne approving
the appointment. Motion carried.
HOUSE BILL .Federal,and State matching money to assist cities under
25,000 population with planning, survey, land use studies, etc.
City Attorney Richard G. Patrick spoke about the aforesaid bill and informing
the mayor andccouncil he had written to Representatives Claude Munsey and 0. H.
Olson urging that this bill be reported out for the third reading and passage;
also a letter to Floyd M. Jennings. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Combs
that -the Mayor'be instructed to write our legislators in support of the bill.
Motion carried.
BUDGET REPORT:
Budget report for January 1955 of all departments was furnished each member.
