Custer presiding. ROLL CALL., By Clerk. Councilmen"present were J. A. Avery, L. E. Bonnett, C. R.,combs, S. A. Connell, Lee J.'Craig, C. S. Milne & T. R. VanHoy. City Attorney Ric�hard,G. Pat- rick was absent. Meeting publicized as per State Law. REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT. CALL FOR BIDS: BIDS ON CITY HALL: Five bids were received, opened and read as follows: Lewis Hopkins Company Pasco Ruud Construction Company Spokane Jensen -Rasmussen & Company Sunnyside Murray Construction Company Kennewick Thompson Construction Co Pasco $ 238_,907.00 258,257.00 265,724.00 271,000.00 276,506.00 Motion made by Avery, seconded by Milne that bids be turned to the Architect and City Engineer for study. Motion carried. Financing was discussed. Mr. Gessel reviewed the roposal item by item; deleting three alternate items was agreed upon. Borrowing 30,000.00 f vom the Airport was favored. j; Motion made by Craig, seconded by Bonnett that a transfer of $30,000.00 be auth- orized from the Airport Fund to Building Construction at 3% interest. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven (7). AWARDING BID: Motion made by Combs, seconded by Connell that the low bid of Lewis Hopkins, Basic Bid No. 3-238,907.00; addition of alternate No. 1—$980.00 and deleting items No. 4 - $250.00; No: 11 - $845.00; No. 12 - $2,800.00. Final fiures to be furnished by Architect. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven T7). $122000.00 DUE CITY FROM CORPS OF ENGINEERS: Mr. Connell made report on meeting with Don Magnuson who recommended that this issue be taken through Congress for collection. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Eonnell that City Attorney be instructed to aMeal to Congress for relief of $12,000.00 due the City from Corps of Engineers. Motion carried. Till CITY TELEVISIION SERVICE, INC. Submitted a check for 1953 tax in the amount of $106.60. City Clerk tocheck and compile information as to dates and rates used in deriving at this figure. RESERVOIR: City Engineer George R. Fish.er reports that the reservoir has been completed and is in service. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Avery, seconded by Connell to adjourn. Motion carried.
