ROLL CALL: By Clerk. Councilmen present were J. A. Avery, L. E. Bonnett, C. R. Combs, S. A. Connell, Lee J. Craig, C. S. Milne and T. R. VanHoy. City Attorney R. G. Patrick was absent. BIDS ON EAST SIDE SYNER: Water Committee states that they feel more bids would be received if "A" Street was widened account being a truck By-pass also ask P.U.D. to remove pole line. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery to reject all bids and re -advertise callable June 1, 1954, 8:00 P.M. All bidders to be notified. Motion carried. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Bonnett authorizing letter to the P.U.D. relative to widening "A" Street account development and By-pass truck route and requesting pole line change. Motion carried. SALARY -CITY TREASURER: Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery that the City Treasurer's Salary be paid from Airport in the amount of $300.00 from January 1 to December 31, 1954, to be paid from Salary of Labor. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven (7). Motion made by Avery, seconded by Bonnett for Mayor to appoint Committee to out line duties of City Treasurer and City Clerk; same to be set up by Ordinance. Motion carried. Milne, VanHoy and Connell were appointed. YACHT BASIN BIDS: C. F. Griggs, Eng., and R. S. Brown reporting for the Park Board, recommend the acceptance of L. W. Vail's bid with 100% bond; job to be completed in 180 days. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Connell to accept the Park Board's recommendation. Motion carried. Council favors the signing of an agreement. REFUND-HOLLIS JENNINGS: By error Mr. Jennings paid the City Treasurer for a Fire Arms Permit. Motion made by Milne, seconded by Bonnett authorizing a refund of $5.00 as requested. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven (7) ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery to adjourn.
